Protection Agency 2009 Energy Star Leadership in Housing Award.
The
award recognizes the contribution New Tradition Homes has made to
energy-efficient construction and environmental protection by building

Vancouver, Wash.-based New Tradition Homes was recognized last week at the launch of the Building America Builder’s Challenge for excellence in building high-performance, energy-efficient homes.
The builder’s challenge was developed by U.S. Department of Energy Secretary Samuel W. Bodman and called on U.S. homebuilders to build 220,000 high-performance, energy-efficient homes by 2012. A high-performance home would use 30 percent less energy than a typical new home.
