 I just can’t say it enough!  I love my new home!I wanted to let you know what a great team you have working for you.  First and foremost, Danielle Schilling.  She is wonderful!  If she weighed more, I’d say she was worth her weight in gold!  She was incredible during what turned into a two year project for me.  She was always available by phone, email, or in person.  Danielle was always professional, knowledgeable, patient, and friendly.  I had a steady stream of friends and relatives looking over and over at the model homes.  No matter how many times I showed up to look at the same thing or ask the same question, she always acted like it was the very first time she’d ever heard that question.  Danielle is the one that hooked me up with another great member of your team, Melissa Warren. 

 Melissa sold my old house, which made it possible for me to buy a New Tradition home.  Melissa was great!  Lots of patience and always knew how to get a problem fixed.  For her, there were no problems-just opportunities to remedy.  She always had someone on her speed dial to call.  She was wonderful to work with and made the trying experience of selling a home in a dropping market, bearable.  I don’t know how I would have made it thru the home selling process without her.

 Danielle also connected me with Aaron Hicks of Metlife.  He’s another great member of your extended team.  He was able to do all of my home loan process via phone, email, regular mail, faxing and scanning.  That was a huge relief to me as I was living in SE Portland at the time, working in downtown Portland and trying to finance a home in NE Vancouver!  He made the whole process so much easier and was always available to answer my questions.  At times you’d thought this was my first house purchase instead of the fifth!

 I also want to say how great Naaman was to work with during the actual house building process.  This was the second house I’d had built and I swore after the first one, that I would never do it again.  Your team made me so glad that I tried it again!  Naaman was great and very patient with me and my parents.  He had some great ideas for placement during the process and I think I went with all of them.

 Thank you so much to you and all of your team.  There are so many stars on the New Tradition team and I am a very satisfied customer.

When we signed all the paperwork to effectively begin construction on our New Tradition Home, we soon met Naaman, our construction supervisor.  He is such a gem.  His professional interaction with Jerry was outstanding.  It didn’t take long for Naaman to realize that he and Jerry would be working very close during all phases of the construction.

 His knowledge of our Prescott plan was what we needed when we wanted to make changes or additions.  He was there every step of the way.  Once again, Jerry got all his questions answered.  Naaman just went quietly about doing a fantastic job.  If need be, he met Jerry at the site upon our request on any given day.  If something wasn’t quite right, he took care of it.

Naaman kept us informed.  Jerry always knew what was going on by the accurate work schedule.  We appreciated reviewing the work schedule, seeing what was happening at our site on a particular day.  Of course I know Naaman will always be forever “thankful” for the plans that Jerry gave to him.  It was a fun time when Jerry showed up with “his” plans.  Needless to say, Jerry’s plans made them smile and be thankful at the same time for a clear understanding of what he wanted.

 Friendly, commitment, understanding and following through with customers are outstanding skills he possesses, as well as solid knowledge about the entire New Tradition’s “building homes for life” process.  He took care of us on a daily basis when needed.  He obviously knows every New Tradition plan, inside and out.  He is the best and is a great asset to New Tradition Homes, and is a very important part of your team with all his knowledge.

 Terry and I would like to take the time to thank everyone at New Tradition Homes for the professionalism shown to us during the purchase and building process of our new home.

 We have bought and sold and built several homes over the years. Our experience with New Traditions, from day one, was made easy by many people. The excitement shown to us, the courtesy, knowledge, patience and understanding of us, the buyers, our expectations and needs, was exceptional. From reception desk to top management, we were always treated with respect.

 At this time we would like to acknowledge a few people we feel deserve a gold star. First, Darby in the design center, who showed us that choosing colors, design, and accents was fun and easy, and made the time in her schedule to fit in our schedule. Jaime, our pillar of knowledge for the products she represents, always available to discuss our ever expanding file with courtesy and friendship, going to bat for us when needed, and making sure coffee and coolies were always ready. Danielle, who made herself available to answer questions or concerns when Jaime was busy or out of the office. Naaman, our building and construction supervisor, made decisions and changes appear seamless. His knowledge of the building trade is incredible. We met with him on several occasions during our construction and he answered or many questions and concerns with patience and offered many great ideas. Because our purchase also included a secondary dwelling, it was a learning process for all of us. But Naaman handled all our changes and last minute tweaks in a timely manner and with grace. We also had contact with a number of the NTH subcontractors, all of whom, again, were very helpful and dedicated to their profession.

 We, like many homebuyers, required financing, and Aaron Hicks from MetLife was our Loan Officer. We greatly enjoyed his upbeat personality and sense of humor. But his in-depth knowledge of mortgages and rates and his availability on weekend sat the NT Sales Office made him ideal for us.

 Terry and I have both been in the Customer Service business for years, in one way or another, so we are well aware how hard it can be dealing with the public. So again we want to take this opportunity to acknowledge the fabulous team at New Tradition Homes for their service to us. Brilliant!

Our family just completed the purchase, building and move into our new Clarkwood home. This was a joint purchase with our two daughters who are now occupying their first home together. From our initial introduction to Monica Rotzien, to the hand off of the keys, the experience was excellent. I honestly cannot think of a thing to suggest to improve upon this experience. You'd have to know me to know how unusual this is!! 

New Tradition Homes is a first class operation with first class people representing them. Monica Rotzien represented your company with integrity and professionalism and we never doubted that she represented our interests as well as New Tradition Homes. Sindy Quitugua was lock-step with Monica and provided the same exceptional assistance throughout the whole purchasing and building process. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Monica and Sindy, and one we'll always remember with fondness. Clarkwood's project manager, Dell Lang, was top notch. Any changes we requested were met with a positive, supportive response and our home turned out exactly as we had hoped and expected, with the exception that it even came in ahead of schedule! 

So often, taking on a venture like this takes on a "I can't wait until this is all done!" feel. Not once did we feel this way. I would like to take a moment of your time to thank you for the wonderful experience our family had from beginning to end during the buying and building process of our home in your Sixth Street Station complex.

This was our second time partnering with New Tradition Homes (NTH) so we knew from our first experience with Mandi what to expect. While Sindy and Rachel equaled the care and knowledge that Mandi provided, I was pleasantly surprised at how much better NTH had made an already good product. From the organized streamlined process to the environmentally friendly materials to the energy efficient appliances every aspect was far and away superior to an already good first experience.

I initially contacted your Sixth Street Station sales office looking for Mandi. Sindy fielded my call. She offered Mandi’s contact information and then proceeded to ask me a few questions. Even better she listened to my answers. Sindy seemed genuinely interested in helping to meet our needs whether that meant purchasing from NTH or not. She of course new that NTH could meet our needs. Within about a week of talking with Sindy we were ready to partner with NTH again and began our second journey with NTH.

Things only got better. Greg, who was our foreman our first time around, was our foreman this time as well. Greg remembered us and assured us that he would take the same great care of us this time too. And he did. As if Sindy wasn’t enough we got to work with Rachel too. Who doesn’t like a two for one deal? The two of them work well together. Both Sindy and Rachel welcomed and embraced our 8 and 6 year old kids.

They never once gave the appearance of being annoyed by fidgety kids who don’t seem to have the same attention span for the home building process. You can’t help but feel a little bit like family by the time the process is finished.

As you would expect, I shared my experiences along the way with my family, friends and coworkers. Some were pleased to hear that a builder was actually installing tankless water heaters and energy monitors. Some were surprised at the value when I shared the details of what NTH provided. Some were surprised at how efficient the entire building process was. I have recommended and will continue to recommend New Tradition Homes.

After all most ten years in our 2524 (before you had cool names for your homes). We just had a Duct and Home Performance Inspection done. If there was ever any doubt about NTH (there really wasn't ever any) you can put those doubts away. Duct Leaking to exterior should be no more than 10% ours is only 13% that is AMAZI...NG! The House Air Leakage was 5.5 ACH (air change hour). Which means this house it TIGHT! The insulation values were also amazing! I just have to say, even a decade ago you were building homes to be energy efficient and they still are. I will never regret my choice to build with you. From beginning to end and even ten years later YOU MADE MY HOME a real place to be proud of. Thank YOU!

My wife and I would like to share our experience in purchasing a New Tradition home in Vancouver. Once we had settled on the city of Vancouver for our new home we looked at numerous builders. Some advertising on the internet had declared bankruptcy, others for one reason or another did not appeal to us. Being an Earth Advantage home really appealed to us and after researching New Tradition Homes we felt they offered the best home for the money and were highly rated. We visited several sites under construction by New Tradition and decided the Fieldstone development was for us. The one story Fircrest was perfect for our needs. 

Our first contact was with Danielle Schilling, a sales representative for New Tradition Homes. Danielle was very informative regarding the energy efficient building that New Tradition was engaged in as well as a variety of neighborhood and community issues that would be helpful to us as new homeowners in the area. We placed a deposit on a lot and began working with her on the details. Working with Danielle was such a pleasure. She made the buying experience extremely easy, was always available to us and walked us through each stage of the building process. 

What makes our relationship with New Tradition Homes and Danielle more interesting is we accomplished the build via long distance. We currently reside in Southern California and worked with Danielle by telephone and e-mail during construction. On our return trips to Vancouver she arranged to have our design meetings fit our schedule, even on the weekend. Danielle and the entire construction crew were great. They kept us updated on the construction by e-mailing us photos weekly of the house and answering a multitude of questions.

Our experience with New Tradition homes has been great. They have made us feel as if we were their only client.

My family and I would like to share with you what a great experience we had with your company and staff.  From the moment we walked into the sales office, Sindy Quitugua was more helpful than anyone could ever image, especially when looking into something so scary (and exciting).  She had so much information for us regarding the benefits of a New Traditions home, things my family and I were never aware of.    Sindy also provided us a ton of helpful tips when picking our home so that it met our family’s needs (all of which turned out PERFECT).  During the building process, both Sindy and Monica were always around to answer frantic questions, and assure us that it indeed was really as smooth as they were making it seem, resulting in us never finding that “catch” we were looking for.   In meeting Dell, he fit right into the level of service we had become to expect from Sindy and Monica.  Again, he too provided ideas for our family and took the time to look at every detail along the way.  Dell also was more than happy to accommodate all of our petty requests, with no grumps about it.  Like a previous New Traditions Home Owner wrote, we too find ourselves pushing New Traditions Homes to our friends and co-workers because of the wonderful experience that we had with the Clarkwood staff.  Again, thank you Dell, Monica and Sindy for all of your hard work.  You truly made this experience one of the best in our family’s life.  I want to thank all of the other New Traditions staff as well.  We were so pleased with the well ironed process you have in place, and your truly wonderful team.

Dear New Tradition Homes Owners and Staff,

I wanted to just briefly thank you for the wonderful experience that we have had with your team over the last few months. I cannot say enough great things to everyone I speak to about NTH. From the first day when we met Sindy Quitugua and Monica Rotzien, both of them treated us with complete professionalism. While it was Sindy who would eventually help us along the way, Monica was also always there to answer my many questions and answer frantic phone calls to assure that everything would be ok. During our first tour of the homes Sindy did a stellar job educating us on the many energy efficient methodologies that sets NTH apart from the rest. While other builders asked for additional fees to add energy efficiency, NTH placed a value on this for all new home owners. At first we were confused how NTH did this without adding a higher cost. Was there going to be a catch at some point? Nope, no catch. In fact, it's simple enough to just say NTH cares – both about the environment and about new home owners such as us. Sindy said it perfectly on day one: shop us against the other builders and you'll see what makes NTH so great. It's fair to say we left that first day knowing we'd eventually end up building with NTH and working with Sindy. 

Once we decided what model would be our future "dream home" Sindy did everything in her power to ensure a completely smooth and simple process. As someone who is pretty skeptical about everything, I can be pretty hard to work with. It was no problem to her and Sindy was truly there for us at every step of the way. Whether it be answering my phone call from the appliance store at 7pm, or just making sure she kept everyone on our tight schedule, she got it done. My weekly visits on Saturday morning to take pictures of the progress were a regular thing and Sindy was happy to chat and offer coffee every time I came by. Did I mention she kept me pretty stress free? That's a hard task. It would be an understatement actually to just say Sindy got the job done – she went beyond the call of duty time after time to put us in this beautiful home. Her knowledge of the building process allowed us to make customizations we thought not possible, make adjustments where necessary and then finish it all ahead of schedule. I also can't forget to mention and thank all of the hard work from Dell and his team. Without his commitment to detail and dealing with all of our many requests, the house couldn't have ended up as great as it did. He truly made the process one we'll remember forever. 

All in all thanks to everyone. We recommend New Tradition Homes to everyone and literally find ourselves pitching a new home to all the couples that we are friends with. We entered this process pretty intimidated and unsure if building a home was something we could do. If only we had found NTH earlier! We couldn't be happier with our home and are excited to see our new community grow.

Finding a lot that we really liked in a great neighborhood near the school my husband taught at was just the beginning.  The neighbor selling the land gave us a copy of the covenants and names of a couple builders he knew of.  I called to get an idea of how much it would cost to build a home that met the covenants and lot restrictions.  The cost per square foot was far beyond what we could afford.  Very discouraging.  On my way home from what I assumed was my last visit to the lot, I drove by the Brantingham New Tradition Homes development in Richland and decided to stop in at the office.  The home was beautiful.  Even though I figured that it was going to be another disappointment, I asked about the possibility of NTH building on a lot that wasn’t in their development.  To my delight, NTH had just started the program allowing buyers to build on their own lot.  Still in shock from the cost per square foot with the other builders, I wasn’t going to get my hopes up.  

After hearing our situation, the gals in the model home suggested I talk to Gary. Half an hour later, after talking with Gary, I was very encouraged. Within just a week, Gary had numbers for us that worked, and had figured out how we could fit the home we wanted on our lot within a budget we could afford. Amazing!

NTH was really, really good to work with. All the sub-contractors I had a chance to talk with--framers, electricians and even the city inspector--confirmed that Gary has high standards and therefore NTH builds a quality home. The NTH team was exceptional. They helped us have realistic expectations, answered questions time and again, and were very responsive. They continue to be great to work with, and I am thrilled with the experience of working with a builder committed to doing it right the first time.

Well my personal experience with buying my home was interesting. First I thought i would never get a new home the way I wanted. Then me and my husband looked for almost a year at different builders, and New Tradition was really the only one we could find that had good quality items that was not real expensive. The standard item everywhere else had them as upgrades. I know that sounds kind of weird but everywhere else you paid extra for things like furnaces so you could even have an AC. These at least were available to us...and I am a person that really doesn't like pushy people and I did not get that with New Tradition they were easy going and did all the work I sat back and watched my home get built I was so happy the day I move in I knew then that this was all worth it. It took a lot of looking around at different homes to know what we really wanted. My thought to you would be do your home work and check with other people then when you are ready there will only be one place you need to go New Tradition Homes. I would not go anyone else- thanks for a great experience - you guys did a great job here.

Just wanted to thank you and New Traditions for the great job of building our new home.

Building a home that one has dreamed of and planned for many years is an emotional journey. For New Traditions however, it's your day-to-day business. You never gave us the impression however, that this was just another job. You worked very closely with Angela and me to ensure things were the way we wanted them and took a personal interest in the success of the project. Building a home for the first time there were many things we had to learn, but you and your crew were patient and guided us through the process.

Another important plus was that the house was completed on time. Many people couldn't believe that a house like ours could be built in 90 days, but you were true to your word through precise scheduling of subcontractors and continually monitoring their progress.

As with all new construction, several things appear in the first few months that need some "rework." Every time we have called you have been very responsive and willing to quickly make things right.

We hope to stay in our home for a long, long time. If, however, we were to ever build a house again we would not hesitate to call upon you and New Traditions, and confidently recommend you to others.

Let me just say that our experience with NTH has been nothing but positive from the very beginning. We changed our mind several times on what lot we wanted at Whipple Creek and made lots of silly requests during the building process and not once did I get eyes rolled at me or anything of a negative aspect. Although this was the first time we've ever gone through the process of building a home, and not having any other experiences to compare it against, I find this experience extraordinary and I'm truly appreciative of it. I have no doubt that in the next several years, we'll want to build again and, without hesitation, we'll work with NTH again.

 It was a pleasure seeing our home built and working with you. Every day for approximately 90 days, after 7pm, i would be at the building site to see how the work was progressing and was always very pleased with what was accomplished. Also, neighbors and strangers who visited the sub-division would stop by and comment on the quality of workmanship done on the home. I have made a number of friends as they returned time and again as the home progressed. Whe the home was completed and we were in the process of moving in - many, many couples stopped by and inquired if the house was for sale and if they could see the inside. This home could have sold time and time again. They marveled at the workmanship!! It is beautiful and Ed and I enjoy it very much!! Dell, it was a "joy" working with you.

The aspect of the New Tradition commitment I appreciate most however is your willingness to involve the industry at large. You have done a great job of integrating suppliers, consultants, researchers and code officials in your efforts and sharing your experiences with other builders. I regularly use your process improvement plan to demonstrate to builders across the country how energy efficient construction practices can be implemented and they have been inspired to make changes. One of my most rewarding training experiences has been working with your sales agents to help them turn technical information into benefits that empower homeowners to make better decisions with respect to energy efficiency. 

As a member of the building science community I appreciate that New Tradition understands energy efficiency is not just about individual features but rather an integrated process and commitment to continual improvement, a commitment that will have a legacy of at least 100 years in the homes that you are building today.

We decided to purchase a home from New Tradition Homes after looking at many other builders. There were 15 lots/families and Mandi Kostman made us feel like we were the only ones building a house. Her smile welcomed us. Her kindness warmed us up. She's obviously a people person and it shows in every meaning of the word. Responses to our questions were on time, all the time. We felt like before we picked up the phone to call, she called us. She made us feel like part of her immediate family.

I would like to also mention the Supervisor Greg Lang and Field Assistant Rondy Seppala, construction was always on time or ahead of schedule. We also enjoyed working with Jeff Kostman at our orientation. He explained everything in detail; he was thorough and didn't leave anything out. Just like his wife.

We wanted to let you and your subs know how much we appreciate your fast work in completing our new home. It was started in February and we moved in the last week of April. In addition, we are thrilled that the craftsmanship displayed throughout is in excess of our expectations.

We have had lots of friends over to look at the home and they are all very impressed. My wife and I have dealt with two other builders, in the past five years, and your construction skills far exceed any other we have encountered.

We are forever grateful that you could build our dream home on the acreage, we purchased last December, in Ridgefield. Now we have some landscaping to complete and our dream will be intact. Thank you for contributing so much to our dreams by completing an excellent home and deck on our property.

After living in the Beaverton area for twenty plus years and working on the field of education, Don and I took a church pastorate position in Parkdale, Oregon for the past 11 years. About two years ago, we began looking for the ideal place to live in our retirement years. The search took us from Bend, Parkdale, Odell, Aloha, Hillsboro, Sandy, Beaverton, and Portland. We even explored Manufactured Homes until we heard on the news that Vancouver, Washington was the most economical place to live in the Northwest.

So our search began in Washington from Battle Ground to Vancouver. We explored many construction companies, went online and explored every possible area and builder. Our son-in-law, who is a builder, shared with us what companies he felt to be reliable and up to strict standards. Then a friend of a friend sent us materials on the New Tradition Homes in the area.

From the outset, when we met and worked with Jaime and Melissa, selecting the choice location, to the ideal floor plan and pricing, we were amazed by the accomodating spirit and good nature. After those decisions were made we met with the designer, Jarret Helmes, to finalize floor plans, Val Hughes of Carpet USA was so helpful in selecting flooring, and Yvonne Kimball, who helped us with the lighting. DeWils was also helpful in selecting our refrigerator/washer/dryer. Every single individual was extremely knowledgeable of the whole process.

Periodic drive-bys, as construction began, made us so aware and delighted we had chosen New Tradition Homes. Finally, the "walk through," with Steve Tapio and Mark Maunu was a delightful experience. They could not have been more thorough and helpful. What we saw was beyond our wildest expectation of the floor design, selected colors and outstanding workmanship! Our search and research has paid off and we could not be more pleased with every detail. You can count on us to sing your praises and be good Public Relations for this awesome company.

It has been my pleasure for the last year to work with New Tradition Homes in Vancouver, WA. I have been in the construction industry for over twenty-five years, both as a builder and in other, less glorious, positions. I found the personnel at New Tradition Homes to be direct and intentional in their commitment to building quality. As the Builder Outreach Specialist for the Energy Star Homes Northwest program in Southwest Washington, I work with a broad range of builders building various types of homes. At New Tradition Homes there seems to be no concern for emergency measures in construction. They are deliberate about the manner in which they build, and do, on occasion, take the time to stop and look at their work with a critical eye. They are enthusiastic about their training, whether they are sales staff, office staff or field staff. They all want to know more about the building of quality homes. I have participated in some of the trainings involving sales staff as well as field staff. They are quick to pick up the energy conservation concepts.

I have personally been witness to occasions where issues have occurred with homes already finished, and were being lived in. Though the home in question had already been sold, the Building Science Team at New Tradition Homes did not let it go. They called the contractor in question to meet me on site and we found the issues and solved them. It did not simply feel like extra effort was put forth to correct those issues. It felt like they were doing what needed to be done to the house to make it a New Tradition Home.

I want a house like that.

My husband and I would like to send our greatest appreciation and thank you to Mandi and Gale of the Battle Ground New Tradition Homes office and Greg who acts as foreman for many of these jobsites. All three of them should be given high praise for the phenomenal job they did. We have seen all of them work long and hard hours to make sure their customers are happy. Without them, we would not have been happy. New Tradition Homes should feel lucky and blessed to have these three working as part of their team.

This house plan is great! If you have anyone looking for a real open 1600 square foot house, send them out to look. Last week we had a couple, total strangers, stop to see who built the house, they want one just like it next spring.
