Energy Efficiency Part 3: Built Efficient

April 7, 2020

At New Tradition Homes, we always like to be ahead of the curve. And that means creating homes that aren’t just built to the standards of today, but to the innovations of tomorrow. After all, a home should last for generations, and this requires nothing less than today’s top-notch energy-efficient construction and features.

In our last blog, we talked about helping you lower your carbon footprint with our green home features. Today, as we conclude our energy efficiency blog series, we’re excited to discuss our energy-efficient features, the details of your home that lower your utility bills, increase its resale value, and provide a solid base that’s ready adapt to future technologies. We like the sound of that… and we think you will too.

Energy-Efficient, New Homes in Washington

  • Every home is third party performance tested for air loss, moisture and complete systems analysis.
  • ENERGY STAR® rated windows save energy and increase comfort, reducing UV rays while still allowing the sun to shine in!
  • All ductwork seams are completely sealed with mastic and air pressure tested for leakage. This lowers your heating/cooling costs by not losing air to the outside, attic or crawlspace.
  • Blown-in blanket (BiB) insulation is a seamless, thermally efficient, sound-reducing blanket that completely fills any void and has an R-value of 23+.
  • 95% high-efficiency gas furnace means that 95% of the gas used is converted to energy for your home. High-efficiency furnaces are quieter and more efficient.
  • R-49 attic insulation is eco-friendly and Greenguard certified, and helps reduce heating and air conditioning costs.
  • Tankless water heaters provide endless hot water and higher energy savings — operating only when hot water is needed and no storage tank.
  • Knauf EcoBatt R-38 floor insulation is the next generation of sustainable insulation, made from 61% recycled content.

ENERGY STAR® and Built Green Washington® third-party tested and certified, our living spaces are built to a higher standard, because we believe that home — your safe haven, your greatest source of comfort — is where you should always feel your best. And when we say “Built For Life,” we mean it. Dedicated to your health and happiness, our team ensures that your home is energy efficient, durable, and environmentally sustainable. Because that’s the way it should be.

We want to thank you for reading our blog series! If you’re ready for a gorgeous new home in Washington that values what you do, all of us at New Tradition Homes can’t wait to meet you! Find your efficient home, and take a further look at what energy savings mean to us.

WE LOVE OUR HOME. From the beginning, the steps to get our home have been fun. From picking a floor plan to the day I learned how to work the fire place. Our Realtors were amazing. From Theresa Lowe that represented us to Kelly Wade who represented New Tradition and their ability to work together. We would recommend New Tradition homes to anyone who wishes to have a home built.
