When buying a new home, it’s important to consider not only the cost of building but the utility costs as well as the cost to our larger home – the environment. That’s why we’re so proud to have won the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award for the 14th year in a row.
What is the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award?
Most are familiar with the ENERGY STAR logo that appears on many household products and appliances. They signify products that are qualified by the EPA (Environment Protection Agency) as energy-efficient. Today, more than products and appliances are labeled this way. Homes can be built and labeled as energy-efficient products too!
As one of the first pioneers to adopt this practice, it’s crucial to us because we know home is the most important place. We partnered with EPA’s ENERGY STAR program in 2004 and have since then striven for energy excellence. Each year, an ENERGY STAR award is given to thousands of partners for products that contribute to protecting the environment. However, the highest award given is the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – Sustained Excellence Award. This honor is given to partners that have not only maintained their Partner of the Year status for more than two years, but have also exceeded the standard energy efficiency standards.
Why This Is Important for New Home Buyers
It can be daunting deciding to purchase and build a new home. It’s one of the biggest investments our clients make so we do not take it lightly. A few common marks on the buyer’s checklist are that the home is sturdy, comfortable, and has potential for a good resale value in the future.
Built To Last
What’s inside the home is just as important as what’s outside. We've continued to meet and surpass standard building procedures to produce homes that, thanks to quality-installed insulation, quality inspections, and a thorough Water Management System.
Built For Comfort
We spend more time in our homes than anywhere else. Why not have it be the most comfortable it can be. And we don’t just mean fluffy pillows and 1000-thread count sheets. Our energy-efficient heating, ventilation, and air cooling system keeps the air fresh and clean for a restful night's sleep
Built For Future Value
Because our homes don’t wear down like the typical home, they gain value as the years go by. The energy-efficient features also help save money on utility costs making these homes more attractive in the market and creating a higher resale value. If you ever decide to sell your home, you can rest assured that your New Tradition Home will be worth the investment.

I don't remember the first time I saw a New Tradition home, but it was MANY years ago. During the internet evolution, I have watched New Tradition evolve into a great company. I don't know why, I guess it was my dream to own one I just didn't know it yet. Years later, my husband and I decided it was time to build. After looking at all the builders and communities we stopped into a New Tradition home and he fell in love! (I was already there). 4 months later the floor plan of our dreams came available and we were hooked. 1 year later, we are now in our New Tradition home and I couldn't be happier!
